The course takes place at the Monticelli Estate. This sea side house is surrounded by a pine garden and a magnificent view of the Adriatic sea. The historical town of Polignano a Mare can be easily reached on foot in about fifteen minutes. The quiet setting of the house features a large, shaded garden where the language course takes place. From this tranquil location it is easy to learn the Italian language.
The average class size contains a maximum of 8 people. The classes take place from Monday to Friday and are exclusively led by Italian native speakers who are highly qualified language teachers. The language course covers all aspects of the Italian language: listening, reading, speaking and writing, with particular focus on the communicative aspect. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate documenting the successful attendance of the course. The learning material is included in the course.
Teaching Method — Teaching is based primarily on the reading of texts and articles from the Italian print media on varying topics. Audio texts are also utilized. The levels of the courses are divided according to the European Framework of Reference’s classification in: A (A1 + A2) Italian for beginners, B (B1 + B2) middle stage and C (C1 + C2) mastery of the Italian language. An assessment test will be given on the first day to determine the participants’ language skills. Participants will then be matched with others of a similar level. The teacher designs a personalized timetable with each group to determine and plan the optimal use of the teaching time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages
